What is SDX?

SDX is a C++ class library that provides a simple and easy to use interface for programming full screen multimedia applications for Windows. It uses the Microsoft DirectX API for it's base functionality. SDX fully supports blitting, drawing, sound mixing, music playback, and even has a color manangement class that can perform binary operations like AlphaBlending on DirectDraw surfaces.

Functionality which will be made available in the profesional versions of the SDX includes AVI and MPG playback directly to DirectDraw surfaces. A 3D scene management class with primitive shape generation. And even game classes with map editors!

All versions of SDX come with sample programs and extensive documentation.
